Has anyone tried to fit a vertical grip on the front of these? i just bought one and its in the mail :ar15: i thought that a stubby vertical grip on the front would be pretty kickass, anyone try it? im worried about how to mount it to the front handgrip, and if i would have clearance to remove the factory mags until i can buy a AR mag adapter, any help or advice would be greatly appreciated

Doesn't look to me like there's enough room on the forend with factory mags. As a result I'm getting a piece of rail permanently attached to the bayonet mount, as a bayo won't fit on there anyway, which will extend back under the barrel to the forend - I'll be mounting a VFG on that rail segment. I hadn't planned to, but holding the rifle by the mag was causing malfunctions, and the forend is too small for me to grip comfortably. Pic below of the configuration I have in mind, once the rail's attached :)

The mag clears the VFG with just a bit of room to spare with the gun configured as I have it below.
