Very accurate 9mm ?

I'm finding my CZ SPO1 Shadow and Grand Power X-Calibur extremely accurate. Just got a S&W 929 and I'm betting that will probably be even more accurate. The limiting factor is always going to be my old eyes though lol.

I have also heard that your choice in ammo may be a factor in accuracy too. For 9mm, 147gr projectiles have more contact surface with the barrel lands compared to the 115gr projectiles. I shoot 147gr anyhow as I find the recoil pulse is softer.

Hi guys,

In search of a REALLY accurate 9mm for target, I am looking thesedays at Pardini and Sig P210 (as expressed in another post).
Any other VERY accurate 9mm for target out there?
I have a CZ SP01. I like it a lot but I would also like a real target dedicated one.

Thanks

Gilbert

My MP 9mm is very accurate, I can shoot a 1/2" group with ease, if I hold it against the paper.

Here's my .02. I've owned quite a few hi end 9's; S&W PPC9, 952, Sig P210's Legend Target & Super Target, SVI's, STI's, along with some tuned 1911's with 5" & 6" barrels to name a few. The only two 9's in the safe at the moment? A CZ 75 SP-01 Shadowmate & a CZ 75 Tac Sport Orange (delightful single action trigger right around the 2# mark). I don't miss the others for a second. Those two are at least as accurate (if not more) than the ones previously owned and what's great about them is that they are cheaper to buy and replacement parts, if needed, are widely available and priced right. That should mean something.

Dlask 1911 in 9mm.

I don't know what is the most "accurate" 9mm because I frankly cant shoot well enough to make that determination (and I haven't seen anyone at a range that can either).

Having said that the Dlask shoots better for me than anything I have seen so far.

So far as I know, the most accurate 9mms are the Berettas developed by the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit many years ago now. They spent a lot of time, money and science determining how to make the service pistol that replaced the 1911 accurate enough for NRA bullseye shooting and other competitions. They ended up with pistols that are capable of putting ten shots into less than 1.5 inches at fifty yards, and with the right hollow point ammunition much less than that. One unusual thing about them is that the twist of the barrel is half that of regular 9mms. This was a significant step to improve accuracy.

Comparable guns are sold by David Sams Custom Gunworks. Very expensive, built to order and it takes about a year to get one. But you asked!

My Tanfoglio Stock lll Extreme is here, i am dazzled of admiration for the beauty of it, if it shoot half good as it look... Wow... JP.:rockOn::rockOn:

^Maybe you're referring to this.

You're right about David E. Sams making USAMU's repros. Pretty accurate pistols but ugly has hell. They will constantly shoot 1.5-2" groups from a ransom rest at 50y. They normally have a match 1:16" Bar-Sto barrels but lucky users get the ones fitted with the odd KKM's 1:32" twist witch is indeed half slower than a regular 9mm barrel and more accurate. They are built to shoot the handloaded 115gr Sierra ball ammo the best.

The one pictured in mebuispower's post is not the one but looks way better than the real thing!

OK all,
Thanks for your numerous answers to my original post. It turned out very informative. Just to let you know, I ended up buying a Pardini GT9.
But please go on feeding that post. Like I said, it is very informative.

What colour and barrel length did you end up
getting?

Gilbert, are these in stock or was it special order. I have been looking at the Pardini as well, and thinking of unloading a few pistols I don't shoot much to be able to get something really nice.Have you handled a GT yet, how is the grip compared to a CZ.
