Hello everyone, I'm just looking to get a rough value on a very early Stevens 520. By very early I mean it has the side slide release and nub suicide safety not the triangular one. As well it appears to be all matching numbers.
The down side is the pump slide will not seem to stay locked forward. I purchased it like this and it had appeared to be solved after some very thorough cleaning but just recently came back
As well the buttstock may be shortened but if so it's by very Little maybe 3/4 of an inch.
Providing I change whatever is required to lock the slide what would be a fair value?
Unfortunately I can't post pictures but it is in typical shape for the age some bluing loss but no rust of any kind and a good bore. Some dents and scrapes on the wood but no cracks other than a very small one on the pump handle. Cycles perfectly.
Thanks in advance for the help!
