Just wanted to brag on my new pistol a little. After seeing a lot of positive reviews on the Ruger 9e (budget version of the sr9), I decided to go with it. Ruger, I think, was ingenious in that they decided to ship them with one mag and in a cardboard box so they could still keep up the quality of the gun at a budget price. I had it to the local range and the guys were also pretty impressed. We fired a few rounds through it, the M&P, CZ, and a couple others. Two things that really made the Ruger stand out were the trigger and the recoil. The trigger pull is relatively short and smooth, and the recoil very mild compared to others. If you're in the market for a budget strikerfire, give this gun some thought. You won't be disappointed!

I have 2 plus an SR9. I love these handguns. They're a perfect fit for my girly hands and the trigger is one of the better ones. You'd be hard pressed to find better value than the 9E in my opinion.

so, whats the difference between the SR9 and the 9E? I have an SR9, and I really enjoy it after a few mods, but it is getting older now

From the vids i have seen. 9E ships with 1 mag instead of 2. Card board box not hard case. No speed loarder included. Rack slide grooves are larger and a few less than SR9 so less machining. No loaded chamber indicator and smaller rear sight base for less machining again. Internals should be the same. The E means economy so they include less to price it cheaper than Sr9.

haha, i have a SR9 as well and i must admit it really does fit my hands better than any other pistol i have.
i dont know if id say i have little girly hands.... lets just call them masculinily medium hands.

super nice pistol, i have looked a couple of times at picking up a 9E just because of the price point but have yet to pull the trigger on one.
