I am very new to the precision game. Up till now I have focused on my rifle and the reloading end. My scope mounts have been the run of the mill Leupy and burris offerings. Yesterday I had a chance to mount a TPS 20 moa base and matching 30 mm rings on friends rifle. Holy crap what a precision fit for both rings and base. Not even a fraction of a hair gap anywhere and the screws just went in slick with a simple little snug down to tighten it all up.

I'm ruined. I don't think I could ever use the run of the mill stuff again. Only problem is that I've developed a champagne taste on a beer budget.:(

Last week I ordered the Badger Ordnance MAX-50 SCOPE RINGS (Standard Height) and 20moa base from Wolverine Supplies for my savage. I know what you mean, once you get the good stuff you don't wanna ever go back. My budget is a little tight, but I just said wtf:evil: . I had to have it. :dancingbanana:

Folks bang for the buck you can't beat TPS. I only wish they made bases for more rifles.

I have to agree

x2 - the quality of the TPS scope rings are second to none and you can't beat the price - I am in the process of swapping in TPS rings for ALL of my rifles.

I am in the process of getting a new rifle, got my eye on a 700 LTR in .223 and a Leupold Mk4 4.5-14x50LR, should be a nice combo. So my experience is limited to the Leupold mounts, would like to find out where I can purchase and check out these mounting systems your talking about?
