I put just one 3" magnum slug into my 870 at the range today. Went to cycle the action and it wouldn't budge. Opened it back up all the way and the shell was in the magazine tube but wouldn't go into the chamber...so it was stuck, no way to get it out and couldn't close the action all the way. I finally forced it to chamber and fired it. Then all the other shells I used worked fine. Weird, what could it be? I gave'r a good cleaning but it already got one the last time I went.

It was giving me a bit of a problem loading shells bef ore but it was because (i'm pretty sure) the forend was sliding back a bit when i tilted it. But it never jammed before where I couldn't clear it..just stovepiped every so often.
