Very Unique percussion gun

[Londonshooter]

Here's something you won't see every day for sale by a site sponsor:

Made in London, Ontario, of all places.

They also have ( or maybe it's sold, I haven't looked in a while ), a heavy Billinghurst underhammer target rifle. It's a false muzzle picket bullet gun with an original WM Malcolm scope. Definitely a serious target rifle in it's day.

The Billinghurst is gone but they had a Patrick Smith bench rifle from Buffalo in 45 cal with false muzzle and front rest so it came to my house

The Sopers - WH, Philo and RW, were accomplished London gunmakers, along with Gurd. WH's shop was almost across the street from the gaol, Gurds was North around the corner, on the way to Richmond St. I have a detached WH Soper barrel, .40, 5 groove, Remington marked.
Here are photos of a NY State O/U percussion combination gun. .40 over about .625. 34" barrels, heavy. I suspect the smoothbore was for round ball or buckshot for deer hunting. Too darn heavy to swing on a bird. Trigger setup is interesting. Standard double acting double set trigger. #### both hammers, smoothbore fires first then rifle. Set the trigger, rifle fires first, then smoothbore. #### only the rifle, fires set or unset. Smooth fires only unset. Folding peep sight.

Wow. Nice! That's a seriously complicated trigger mechanism. Thanks for showing that.

I got this Canadian made gun for another guy

JJ Walker Simcoe C.W,

It is a mule ear super pose were you put one load in and then another on on top of it, not to sure how good these were but are rare and then to find one made in Canada is something
