very weak takedown pins on my KSG

My KSG arrived today,The two takedown pins the allow the lower to be stripped are so weak Im afraid There going to fall out and get lost.Also it doesnt have the holes in the tube that show how many rounds you have,I thought that was a new standard feature,I have waited a long time for this SG and am very disappointed .The pins are so weak that if you gently brush against them they pop out.any one else have this/Dave

The loose pins are Very common on a ksg. Shouldn't be an issue. I did a google search and most things said it won't be an issue firing. But I would keep my eye on it just to be safe.

Dimple the pins with a center punch. Just a few taps on each pin is more than enough.

One pin on mine is very easy to push out, the other has to be driven out with a punch. Tried swapping them around and it was the same so the issue is with the alignment of the hole.

Dimple not crush! What did you use????

I did mine with a fine center punch for driving finishing nails with no issue. Worked great and the pins no longer walk.

Thats what I used,Even used a small hammer,Its like this pin was thinner and hard tempered.Oh well searching for an alternative now.

I ordered a ksg HRR hook ring pin from buttonsling.com for my single point sling.these are very secure and will not undo.That said,you will need to use a allen key to undo for maintenance. Here is a video of this and other options for the Kel Tec KSG.
