Vibratory Screening - Help me

So who here is familiar with vibratory screeners?

Here is my issue;

in an attempt to seperate 223 from ceramic cone media I had a couple of screens made. In theory they would work well, in reality not so much.
It seems I am getting about 70% of the brass in the top bucket with about 30% of the cone media in the top bucket also.

Bottom bucket is running about 70% media and 30% brass.

The head size of 223 and the cone media are essentially identical. I have though about going to a slightly smaller screen with a hole around 7/16" of an inch vs the 1/2" I am running now, try and have a lower density of holes.

I have reduced the amplitude of the vibration to try and prevent the 223 from dropping through the screen. This did increase the efficiency, however not near efficient enough.
I just want to see if anyone is familiar with this type of equipment before I drop another $100 on a screen.

Brian yer gonna have to get a "ladder" made for that...... Basically a set of flat steel that slowly tapers out so when the smaller of the 2 items gets to it they will fall through to a catch basin. Just imagine a handheld old school Japanese fan with metal fingers splayed out. The distance between the pieces slowly getting larger just to the point of the larger item just about able to fall through. You will need this to vibrate slowly and constantly to ensure that the items stay separated. Either that or rig up compressed air to blow up and through the screen so that the lighter of the 2 objects gets "kicked" out of the mess and into a retaining area.

I dialed in the amplitude and attitude of the wave and am at about 90% accuracy now. Good enough for the girls I go with.

Look up gravity table separators. Very different design with a few added principles to the operation. And much more adaptable with little effort.

I had looked at that route. Physical footprint was an issue as I have a limited amount of space. Also the price was right on the seperator I acquired.
