Victor Company Titan 10/22 stock... How do we get them. If we cant, what else?

I see DLASK and MDT have a build. Still need pistol grip, stock and tube for it though.. So another 300 on the 400 for the stock...

Prophet has B&C stocks, wondering how they fit? Free floated barrel?

What else is there? Boyds ? That about it ?

Promag makes a couple of great stocks for CRPS. I am going to use the Dlx Target stock for my upcoming 10/22 build.

The Precision stock comes in a few colours and should be a great options as well. The polymer is excellent and the stocks are super rigid.. and not all that heavy. Good balance, lots of adjustments.

both are very well priced.

PM or email.

Interesting!

I did,

They seem a little slow on getting it out the door! Nice rifle! it would seem we will be almost Identical.

Except I orderd OD green and the cheek riser peices. Also we have different scopes.

Thanks.

I think it took a few weeks by the time it showed up. I found the cheek height ok but that's me. I really like the stock. I'm a taller guy and length of pull is ok as well. Being a single screw action the fit is good.

This rifle comes to the range every time I go.

Nah, I realized why the torque adjustments affected accuracy so much is because te barrel touches the stock.

Filed down the stock where the barrel touches and the action is now wiggly...

Would not ever recommend... Cant free float.

Why is "free float" so important? None of my rifles are free floated. You know, if you don't have a tuner and you're free floated, if the rifle doesn't like the ammo you're screwed. With the pressure point on the barrel, if the groups are just a little off you at least have a chance of tuning it in by playing with the action screws torque. The pressure point also helps stiffen up the barrel, reducing whip and improving accuracy in general.

Are you referring specifically to rimfire rifles with these comments? I like all my centerfires to be free floated but rimfires are a little more of a mystery to me and I experienced the same problem as the OP when I put my MLR into the Magpul stock.

Well until I get a much better torque wrench. I am unable to accurately return the torque to the ideal spec for the ammo it likes. It may be close but it will never be the same.

I feel like when playing with the little I know about barrel harmonics the less messing with it the better. I can always change ammo brands or get a tuner. It is threaded.

Not to mention this rifle will not always be on the bench. I plan on doing rim fire competitions and hunting. So with pressuring being put onto the stock or pulled away ect ect it will change the barrel harmonics. From barricades in competition, to trees out hunting.

A free float will give the most consistent pressure to the barrel... That is 0.

I may be over thinking it or over estimating the extend of the pressure point played onto the barrel but Id rather be safe then sorry.

Ordered one of these Titan stocks on September 4 and received on the 14. Victor Company was having a Labor Day bundle say. Unfortunately no free shipping to Canada. Shipping was $40.00 for Priority mail.

Stock is solid. Not sure about the free float with only the one screw. Fit of the action in the stock could be better. Action measured 1.25" wide and the stock inlet is 1.26". Going to try some electrical tape "bedding" and see how it goes.
