I just got back from the Malahat Marauder's Easter Rondyvous at Victoria Fish and Game Club. Excellent shoot and I think all had a good time. Principle shooting was done on Friday and Saturday and the weather was dry for all that time. We got to shoot a trapper's challenge on their upper trail which has spectacular scenery looking down Finlayson Arm. Lots of other shooting as well with primitive events, a gopher target, muzzle loading silhouette and pistol matches. Excellent supper on Saturday night. Rain started on early Sunday morning but by then most events were finished and it was more nuisance value than anything else. My congratulations to the club for an excellent shoot.
I forgot to take my camera but will try to scrounge some photos to post.

I thought it was great! Mind you I only got there for packing up and a little clay shooting, but it was fun nonetheless. Everyone's always so friendly at these events, it's easy to have fun.

Another plus, the gf was with me and she liked it so much that she's now 100% on board for a rondy or three this summer. She was researching period buckskin and cloth clothing patterns all sunday:p

haha yeah I think he has me hooked... we missed most of the action at this past weekend's rendezvous, only getting there late Sunday, but from what I could see it looked like a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to meeting some of you guys and learning more about black powder!

And the period clothing research there.... I think I'm going to have to tackle some buckskin moccasins! :D
