Of course it's a bit late now but matches this weekend at Connaught for almost any game that wants to come. To be honest I am amazed at the wannabees that don't come and shoot 900m. But them of course it isn't quite like shooting 1000 yds!

Turnout was not the norm. The long range mounds at Connaught have been graded in prep for the many world champ shoots this summer and the grass has not grown. They will probably have to lay sod to be ready, they are really a year behind. The matches were only 3-5-6 as a result. No idea about scores yet.

The schedule(s) are pretty well posted on the ORA website... there's times when things shift, date wise or yardage wise but it's a good idea to check there... least it give you a rough idea of what the goings on are going to be
 
Hey Ian,

Had to miss Ottawa this year, knew there would be no long range so Danny and I figured we would head to Cedar Springs.
I got 17 relays in :)

btw, the rifle shoots very nice. Great job you did on it. It also didn't hurt re-doing the stock, looks very nice. Shoots good and looks good, can't ask for more.

It was great shooting at Cedar Springs, see all our friends and meet a bunch of new folks.

I'm sure there will be good crowds in Ottawa for the Long Range match and ORA Palma/Range fund match.
Hope to see you there for those and probably a bunch of practices also.

Only 17 relays? You slacker:p
The ORA Range fund match is moved to Borden. Long range one day, 300 ISU the next. I think the long range match will depend on getting some sod down on the firing points:bangHead: I heard the birds were eating the grass seed as fast as it could be put down:shotgun:

Thanks for the update on the matches Tom. Hard to keep track of the changes sometimes.

Does anyone from Ottawa have the latest on access to long-range at Connaught? Sure hope its before July :)
