Victory, MarkIV or Buckmark

Had the buckmark rifle before, it developed a slide stop issue due to the grip not sitting quite flush with the frame, so I got rid of it. The only firearm I regretted selling. Early this month I found a brand new one local to me, haven't shot it yet.

They are nice, lightweight and nimble. Parts between the rifle and pistol are interchangeable which appeals to me.

Lesson learned with the rifle, don't use the slide stop to drop the slide, slingshot it.

Had the same problem with mine. Switched the grips for URX contour grips, filed a bit of metal on the bolt open latch and problem was solved. Zero issues now after about 2000 rounds...

I've got the 22/45 (Lite) and buckmark and it'd be tough to choose between them. I didn't like the grips on the Ruger, but I got the Tamdemkross grips and they're nice. For the Buckmark, there's so many options there's sure to be one that feels good. The Ruger is infinitely better for cleaning, as it comes apart with a push of a button, if that's important to you. I've tried the Victory but didn't like the feel quite as much. As for accuracy, I'd say they're all pretty close for my skill level.

I also had a Buckmark rifle and the trigger alone will make you fall in love. I also had an issue with the slide stop so I had to part ways with it, but Browning Canada seriously hooked me up. Can't say enough good about those guys.

Grabbed another 1980 Mark 1, Target version this time, factory trigger is quite good, doesn't need anything done, Ruger actually set the over travel and creep on these before they went out the door.
It's a tank, but for $300 I'm happy, wasn't fired much, hardly any wear.

Neos Owner here, 6" Black, no optics.

Got it from a fellow CGN user. I'm not sure it can stand shoulder to shoulder with the three that the OP posted.

It's keen, fires nice, eats anything and you'll get the basics of target down with it, but when it comes time to step into a more bullseye pistol, the resale value'll tank and the OP may be better off stepping into the Vic or the Mark IV. I've held both. (store counter) not fired. Grips on the MK IV come as slab sided 1911s. (Not a fan) and the Hex Polymer grip (think sticky rubber) felt like my hand was born for it. (Medium length fingers. No ivory ticklers here)

Walkaway, the NEOS is fun, if you can find a cheap one, enjoy it but it may not do you in a league setting.

These are the hex grips I fell in love with. Sticky-tacky sort of feeling. Once you grip, there's no slip and the purchase remains tight in the palm, webbing, and upper inner digits. Man, I can't wait to get one. My wallet on the other hand... :(

WEIGHT= is this important to you? aluminum is the answer, Ruger then Browning
SIGHTS= fixed, adjustable, red dot get one with factory rail installed
SHOOTING type= plinker, league shooter, Ruger will do well
I feel the Ruger aluminum MK4 with sights and rail will be a buy once and do whatever you decide to do now or in the future.
