Nice clip.

I think what Star Puss is trying to say is he would have been so scared that the pee dribbling down his leg would have hit the bear....:D

I guess relying on antiques for bear protection is not all it's cracked up to be.....

Anyone that thinks pissing on wildlife is cool or funny is not much of a sportsman.

Or he didn't watch the video and when he read the word "Bear", he had a different idea who he might be pissing on. To each his own but this a hunting thread and perhaps Star can find a better outlet for his "preferences". Not that there's anything wrong with that and it only involves consenting adults.

Good reaction from the hunter. Some folks get overly excited and start yelling or throwing things and that may have a different effect on the bear's behavior than what we saw here. I used to advise hunters to just wave their hand and quietly say "hey bear". Normally that was enough. If you hunt remote fly out areas these bears have never seen a human and are only curious when they climb the stand.

Another note: after years of guiding I noticed that EVERY stand we set up had been climbed and occupied by bears checking it over. We checked the tree bark for bear hair at the base of the tree and the top of the stand and were never disappointed!

Here's another video posted in the OTHER thread Wally started about the same video as the one in the OP (how many do we need Wally? :p)

anyone that's spent any time bear hunting in a stand over bait will have a bear try to join them at some time or other...
I've had quite a few...the best was a cub that had obviously taken to eating donuts in my stand. The padding from the seat must have been desert.
I was in the stand when the Sow and Cub came in one day and cubby grabbed a donut and headed up the tree...I popped my mag light out of it's holster and dropped it on the end of his nose.
He shook his head and looked at me then slid back down an ate hid donut at the bottom of the tree.
Turns out he was up there because there was a real cranky big brown phase on that bait too...could hear him poppin long before he showed up...
good times...good times...
