I'm pretty blatantly ripping off the page title, but it's pretty rare a wolf attack is filmed. Hard to see sometimes, but that's the nature of things. The dog made it through and is mostly ok according to the story. Interesting to see their behavior. Can't tell if they were just fighting because of territory or for other reasons, but certainly is different from what you see in movies.

great documentation and video

the wolf is not of our canadian ones otherwise the story may has been different.

that dog seems a moose or bear hunting dog like a norsk elghund. they are using them unleashed most of the time.

i ve seen Charplaninatz fighting agaisnt wolves but they wore steel protection covered by leather around neck and back.

those dogs didnt recognize anybody at night they were raised within sheep.

Looking at the "rope" tails vs the bigger bushy tails normally seen on adult wolves, my opinion is those two wolves were juveniles. Someone with more wolf experience should chime in, but I don't think a typical dog would survive 10 minutes of attack by adult wolves.

Thanks for posting that video H Wally...
Very interesting tag team on how they work together in a fight.

Definitely - I found it interesting how at least once the wolf turned its body and rear quarter towards the dog when approaching - seemed like it was trying to draw the dog into exposing itself without risking its own front end. Makes sense how they were doing it - they know they have time, and injuries can be fatal, so be cautious and wear the dog out by harassing it. Thinking about it I've seen videos of wolves taking down a cow and calf moose that way. Just spend forever probing until their prey gets tired and makes a mistake.

One dog is no problem, two dogs are a big problem. If you live or hunt with dogs in wolf country you need two large dogs to look after each other.

Maybe my volume on the computer isn't the greatest but I could not hear any barking or fighting growls at all. Interesting video nevertheless.
