The Waltz re-sizing die allows you to re-form your .22 bullets for better consistency and accuracy. I have found the best results so far using bulk ammo. It by no means turns bulk ammo into Eley, but it certainly can improve it quite a bit if you tweak it just right.

neat idea!

question tho, I am assuming that the real Eley ammo is subsonic. will that Eley style nose on a supersonic or hypersonic round have any detrimental effects?

Where I live, and out of my rifle, DynaPoints are subsonic and so I can't comment to their performance. The Winchester 555 bulk pack ammo is supersonic for the first 40 yards and then transitions and I'm still seeing very good improvements with this ammo as well both before and after the transition. That nose may very well raise the ballistic coefficient a bit causing the projectile to slow a bit faster than an unmodified round, but I don't think it's going to cause any tumbling or anything like that.

Wonder if you could use this on .22wmr or if the extra case length would cause issues and deform?

.22WMR is both longer and larger diameter, so it would not work. You would need a proprietary unit for the .22WMR. Furthermore, I think this would be lost kind of a lost cause on .22WMR as it generally has a higher level of QC.

Thanks. Guess I should have googled before I spoke. I thought the diameter was the same in .22lr and .22wmr. Now I know.

Looks great well worth it for us who shoot thousands of rounds a year, to make decent ammo into target grade for one pull of a lever?
Saw that the unit with shell holder sold for $135 shipped in the US.
I just emailed to see what the cost to buy one here in Canada, will let you know when I get a repy,

cheers Dale Z!
