my bro posted this to my facebook, and it is awesome. makes me think if more people showed all the work they go through in a successful hunt, ppl would realize why we are out there, to be in nature, an a part of it and not an observer. Makes me want to start filming my hunts.

I'm a huge fan of the videos they are putting together. Fantastic, beautiful and heart stirring cinematography. I wish great things for them.
That being said I believe that most true antis can't be converted. I don't think it's so much about us harvesting animals that they are worked up about as it is they need something to oppose. I have made a lot of believers out of people that weren't really for hunting but I would not have called them anti hunters. I've found a little education goes a long way.
Thanks for posting the video.

Actually, even though Vincent says the right things about hunting for food and humans being descended from hunters, etc. etc. that video is full of contradictions.

Right from that cover photo displayed here for example.

For one thing the guy in front barely is carrying enough in his pack for those guys to have a picnic.

For another thing, the guy in the back is probably ready to fall of his horse carrying antlers like that. I'll bet they took those antlers off his pack right after the photo and put them on a pack horse. Oh yeah! Where are the pack horses?

He talks about hunting for food and then the videos are of guided hunts that would cost in the neighbourhood of $10,000.

He's riding in an airplane, hunting in the Northwest territories. He's an American, but the video makes it look like he owns the plane and the pack string of horses and happily goes hunting by horseback for caribou when he wants a roast for the oven. As a foreigner he'd be required by law to be guided.

Funny he doesn't mention that.

The video is obviously a pastiche of various hunts he's done around North America.

Nice professional camera work. What you'd expect from a commercial entertainment business producing videos for the TV hunting shows.

Show this to anti hunters instead.

"So, you think you are better than me for buying your meat at the store??"

Glad you spotted some of the curiousities, this said only northern hunters will spot half of that. And that said, this video puts a very good and beautifully produced face on hunting to throw in the face of the far from honest smear campaigns put out by the other side. All in all, I like it, foibles and all.

Here's what anti hunters think...

The chance of educating an anti hunter is slim to none....the chance of educating a non-hunter....pretty good! Good press is never bad.....even with the obvious inconsistencies.

Great video. But I don't see how somebody paying (or being paid) big bucks to bow hunt in another country is a good representation of hunters/hunting.
