Video: WW2 Sniper Rifles

Neat vid but somebody should tell them where 90% of the 1903 design came from. That and adding a scope to an enfield does not a sniper rifle make. I think the boy at H&H did a wee bit more than drill and tap.

I'm not even going to waste my time - the Enfield is pretty much a sporter and the M42b was a Swedish Rifle with German produced optics - last I checked the Sweds (other than volunteers) never fought in WWII - but I am sure some rifles were maybe shipped to Norway or Finland.

Oh well, they're having fun anyway. For a faux No4 they might just as well have used a no drill S&K scope mount on any No4 and saved boogering the receiver in the process. A 1970s vintage Redfield 4x isn't quite the same as an original No32 scope. The faux M1903A4 also boogered an original Smith Corona M1903A3 receiver. Sporterized M1903A3s with a Redfield Jr mount were once pretty common in the US. With a bit of looking they could have found one of these to play with. All M1904A4 sniper rifles were built by Remington and most used a military variation of the Weaver 330 scope, rather than the early K2.5 that they are using. At least the Swedish rifle seems original.
