Varget

Which one performs like Varget? I'm an idiot when it comes to VV powders :p

I have used N540 for both my .233 bolt gun and my .308, it performs very close to varget in my .308, and is better than varget in my .223

I wish to sincerely thank all CGN posters on what is to me, an important topic. The responses and advice have been more than expected and indicate a wide market segment of reloaders. We have listened and will act accordingly.

Peter

Question Peter

N133 - PPC's
N135, N140, N540, N150, N550 - 308's, wildcats, etc
N160, N560 - magnum's

Any idea of the price for 8 pounders Peter?

Hoping for around $176 Cdn for a 8lb'r ship'g included myself. This would make you competitive with Higginson Powders Inc., his is running $22 / lb shipped and also in line with US pricing at $132 US = $155.73 Cdn (Champion Shooters Supply) and $148 US = $174.61 (Eabco) Cdn today.

Quigley and others, sorry, won't have prices for about 30 days. Got to mention that this venture is costing, what is to me, a fortune. Ordered a 42'X12' steel transportable bunker. Ouch!

Talk to you after I 'm out of the hospital next week.

Peter

N550 does magical things with heavy bullets in 308 Win. It would be nice to be able to get it in Canada if I head back.

Higginson's Powders now has most of the VihtaVuori line, but not 20N29. To be fair, I can't really blame them, as I'd be surprised if they'd sell 50 lbs a year.
