Has anyone worked some super accurate loads with their powder? Just wondering vihtavuori might work as well as the standard W231 and Bullseye loads, but be cleaner??

Any info appreciated..

thks!

I have just started back into reloading so i am no expert but i have had very good success with 9 mm using IMRs SR 4756. Someof the guys that shoot IPSC at my club also use 4756 for 38 super. The thing i like about this powder is that it is fairly clean burning. The other nice thing i like about it is that it fills cartridge so there is no chance of double loading. In addtion one can also use it for other calibers. I also use it in my .45. Right now i am shooting 4.7 grains of 4756 with a 147 grain bullet with a COL of 1.140 inches. That should give me between 900 to 950 fps velocity. In my hands this load shoots very good. The reason i did originally go with this powder was one of the reloading manuals that i looked at give it the "most accurate" label. Cant remember which manual it was.. but it was a new one at the store i purchased the powder. Just my 2 cents

Lots of guys down here are using N320 for subsonic 9mm loads with their suppressors exactly for that reason: its super clean.

I've fired a lot of Power Pistol and its pretty clean as well. But the muzzle flash is really something.

I am using VV N350 with very good results in a number of 9mm guns. I use a 124 gr. Montana Gold HP with 5.5 grs, WW SP primer. It is quite accurate and, as you say, very clean burning. Haven't noticed muzzle flash so I guess it's not an issue. I also use 5.0 grs. with lead bullets of the same weight. You can go as high as 5.7 according to the Vihtavuouri website. I have seen other sites such as Handloader.com recommend as high as 6.1 but I don't like to exceed Vihtavuouri's data. It is a nice load to shoot, very accurate and easy on the brass and gun. The only downside to this powder that I can see is it's cost. I lucked out and got a couple of 4 pounders for a ridiculous price but otherwise I wouldn't have bought it.
