VihtaVuori

Peter, while this may be an unfair question, I'm going to ask anyway. Will you be getting regular orders, or one or two large orders a year? If you find yourself out of stock, should we expect delays of weeks, months or seasons before it can be replaced?

The reason I ask is obvious, but I'll flesh it out anyway

Many of us love the product line, but over the last few years have been stung by short or non-existant supply. I'm lucky to have enough N320 on hand to last me this coming season, but I know several who've switched to alternatives due to supply problems. Nobody wants to re-invent the wheel mid-season.

Canuck, this is an excellent question. We have confirmation for a large order for each product listed.

We will do the same as we do for Lapua, which is stock literaly hundreds of thousands of dollars in product. We do ocassionaly run out, but never for long as this is our long-planned-for business goal.

We will stock the complete N5 series once it is manufactured, but VV has not provided a date for this.

Regards,

Peter

Good to see the VihtaVuori powders will be available in Canada, I am trying different powders for my .308 BAR using 165 gr SST's and 165 gr SBT's, the data I read recommends N150.
Is it practical to ship 2 kg of N150 across the country to Vancouver Island?

Sounds good Peter.
I ask about Alliant simply because options are always nice to have, and there seems to be big demand. I have found R15 to work really well in a couple of my rifles, while others shoot H4895 and Varget. Being able to place an order for a mixed case of Hodgdon, VV and Alliant would go a long way toward making bigger orders feasible for folks.

I've got a chamber that's perfect for 154's- but the barrel just doesn't like them. I've got a couple more to try, so don't dispair!

Like powder, I say let the rifle tell you what it shoots best!

If it

is a MUST have powder for you then shipping does not matter. It more than likely will run you half the price of the 2kg container. If that is the case order more and pay shipping once.

Powder lasts if kept in the cool and dark.

N-550 will not be available until November and we are ordering now to secure product which is in huge demand. This caught us flat-footed, selling out in 4 days! We are increasing order 10 fold for N-550.

Peter

I have been using Vihtavuori Powders for several years now, with my first stocks coming from the USA [years ago] I am very pleased with the powder quality and consistency, lot-to-lot. Additionally, a couple of their powders make certain cartridges come "alive" A typical example is the 8x57 and N550. With 180-200 grain pills, this has yet to be equaled by any other powder I have tried. Ditto the Swift and N540. Right now, I am trying N170 in the 300 Win Mag with heavy bullets. I will report later. Regards, Eagleye.
