Vintage C.I.L. Bricks (Canadian military)

I guess that this is as good a place as any for my first real post. I was gifted these three bricks from a close friend who has retired from the military. I'm just starting to learn about ammo, so I thought I would do a little digging about them before I sent them all downrange. It looks like they may have some value beyond just being ammo. I'm hoping some of you might be able to give me a little more background and possibly a better understanding of their value. I've gone through the icollector past listings, and I haven't found anything that matches this exactly in terms of quality or quantity.

A similar cube of ammo just sold on iCollector this past weekend for $40. It's a starting point at least. Vintage ammo is hit or miss on price, you gotta find the right collector, locally ideally, because it won't be worth it to ship it

I saw that, but the reading I've done suggests that that military bricks that I have go quite a bit higher than that to military collectors. There were a couple of listings where the boxes were in far worse condition going for $120 to $160.

Definitely has collector value, but like above, depends on if you can find a buyer, I typically try not to spend more than $10 a box at gunshows or online, sure it's worth more sometimes, but I just pass on it then

I totally understand. I'm looking for military collector, not a shooter. I'm just glad I didn't use them to put more holes in the barn.
