Hi There
I have an vintage Kahles Helia 2 S2 that I bought a few years ago off CGN
I was told it was from an old sporting goods store that closed down
The scope was still wrapped in a brown paper, Leather scope caps
The glass is perfect with a slight yellow tinge that I understand was built in for low light and contrast.
Box is in awesome shape.
Thought I would share some pic's of this awesome scope.

Hi Buckmastr
That is pretty cool same recticale wonder what the difference is in the L2 and the S2

That is quite the paper work you have on them.
Did you use yours in Africa?
I also have a steel S6 that is a very nice scope.

I bought the scope of the EE a bunch of years ago. It came with the box, bill of sale, kahles phamplets and 26 mm rings.
It's sat in my gun cabinet ever since. I was planning on putting it on an old husqvarna 9.3x57 that was tapped...
Also, still sitting in the gun cabinet...
What's your plan for yours?

I have a couple of those vintage Kahles scopes.

One is similar to yours and the other is a Heliah 4M with No 2 reticle.

Like yours, very sharp and clear but they are both blessed with vicious parallax.

Those are nifty old scopes! Thanks for posting. I use an old Fisher-Dietz 4x32 on an 8mm-06. Paid $10 for it back in the 70's and have never adjusted it since. It has no turret caps!

Not really sure what I will put it on 9.3x62 maybe or trade my Leupold 2.5x20 on my 458.
Have had the Kahles for 4 or 5 yrs now.

Excellent paperwork as well. I remember back when my postal code was Toronto 3. $48 must have been quite a price to pay for a scope back then. All very impressive.

Found a home for the classic old Kahles on a classic African caliber the 9.3x62 mauser.
Shoots awesome with 286 gr Nosler Partition.
