Vintage Scope Info Please

I received a scope that is a straight 4x, fine cross hairs and is simply marked "Safari" and Made in Japan.

If anyone has any information on the scope it would be appreciated.

Looks really nice, likely from 50-60s ? I did a bit of inet search and only found One other 'Safari' listed anywhere - already sold :-(

It sold fairly cheap for a Japanese lens 3-9, but this may be a 'house brand' of a major mfr ?
I have a Weaver D4 that looks like this that was valued around $80-USD in 2007, for someone wanting a 'period scope' for an older rifle, but I'm keeping it for myself - gifted from a good friend.
