I also prefer a k/l frame to an N in terms of feel. Here's one way of improving the feel of a round butt n-frame:

I fit k frame stocks to an n-frame gun. For me they just feel way better.

My answer for a square butt is the coke bottle stocks as they are thinner and contour to my hand way better than the non-coke profile stocks.

If you can't find original cokes there's some nice alternatives like these Kurac's (on a model 25 no dash).

Great looking round butt wood grips, those are Hogue right?

Sold my V-Comp a few months ago, just didn't feel the lock and finish. Was pretty accurate with a very decent trigger though.
 
I love the VCOMPS I find them so accurate and easy to shoot. As for the stocks, yes they're Hogues. I picked some up for my model 19 and soon after I found I could squeeze them onto the n-frame as well which for me and my girly hands was a godsend even if they don't quite fit right. Here's how they should look:

I looked at a set of the VZ G10s for an N frame, I may just have to give them a whirl (sounds like you like them Harry?). My Model 57 is a bit of a beast to shoot with hot .41 rounds and the original target grips, I suspect I'd like it a lot better with a finger groove set.....but I sure do like the 'original' look on the 57. Elmer Keith was a man on a mission, no? 'There's just something missing, we got a .357, and a .44, but dammit there just seems to be something else we need....' lol

They feel thinner on the N frame than the Hogue rubber on my no dash 586 so yeah they fit real good.
