Viper PST Gen 2 6-24x or Burris XTR 2 5-25x (FFP MRAD)

I would choose the vortex, as it the only one of these two that I own... It has a nice zero stop and reticle with illumination and makes for a all round great budget scope. The turrets are really nice!!

I own both and would say that they are on par with each other and would not go wrong for the price point of both. I am buying another scope right now and going to make it a xtr II. I prefer the 34mm tube and the turrets, zero stop and magnification ring over the vortex. image clarity is the same in my opinion. both companies give different retictle options so that might help you decided as well.

I just bought a Burris veracity 4x20x50 it’s ffp also and has the varm reticil not to much going on but enough to give you some definite aiming points , the one thing I would check is how much moa does it have min as 15 per revolution
I put on a 10 moa rail for that reason to get me out to 1000 yrds

What is your application? I have the XTR2 on my 10TR and I’m quite happy with it. I was also considering a PST Gen 2 but at the time they had just come out and I decided to go with the option with at the time proven tracking.

If your going to be doing static shooting the 5-25 is great. If your thinking PRS type stuff I would go for the 4-20 with Christmas tree since I shot almost all of Meaford with under 10 power.

Personally I would choose the Burris. They have an excellent track record for never needing their warranty. Glass quality is excellent. Extremely generous eyebox.

If I did not have a S&B on order, I would have this scope or the new Sightron ED.

My only complaint is no H59 reticle choice in either.
