How much does your Club Charge for non-members to shoot and do you have to charge for each person (shooter or not) when someone rents your facility for a Social Club event.

We are charging $5.00 a shooter but the NRA insurance seem to want $7.00 a visitor.

Thanks
Grant

We charge for the use of the ranges at $10.00 a day .then the visitor can shoot at member rates which is $2.50 a round for trap, skeet and 5 stand.
As far a social events, only to members and it's make a donation to the club when your done. The problem is insurance for non-members, so we don't allow it.

We charge $20 per day for a visitor fee without the supervision of a member, you have access to rifle and pistol and trap if it is a trap day. Now this can be applied to a membership if you decide to buy one. If you are a visitor with a member it is $10 per day.

Our club house is a popular wedding reception, retirement party, family reunion...etc spot and people rent it all the time if there is not a conflict with a club event like PITA. I think it is around $500 per day for the clubhouse only.

Now we also rent to brinks, RCMP and other groups but I have no idea what we charge them to train at our range.

On a regular practice day,a visitor shoots for the same as a member shoots for at the shotgun facilities at our club.
Range rental is $350.00 a day and that's only for the range you require. Not the whole club.

$20 just to show-up for clay shooting + fees per match is pretty steep. Silverdale does this which means I don't shoot trap with my friend out in Niagara very often. If I had time to use the rifle/pistol ranges as well, then I understand.

I don't mind paying a little extra per round, but $20 on top of ammo and clays is a little much. OTOH, I can bring him down here and he can shoot for $4 a round. CSSA gives me $5M in liability insurance.

In Barrie it is $ 5.00 for a visitor.
I think that is fair as we want to make it as low as possible to bring out potential new members . Unless a range/club is in it for a profit, I see no need to charge that much. Just covering costs should be enough.

Visitors and guests are charged a day use fee of $10.00 at TCRC
Just a thought......Golf Courses charge a heck of a lot more for a day on the links.(a waste of a potentially great range).
Theaters charge I believe over 15.00 now for a movie and 30.00 for stale popcorn, watered down Pepsi and old candy.
Even at 20 bucks for a full day at a club isn't out of line IMHO if facilities provided.

When a guest of a member, guests are charged the same fees as members,
for up to 3 visits to the Club. Standard Liability waiver needs be signed.
Day fees for Club rentals vary ... currently a lot of members p-o'd because the Executive likes to rent out the facility
on a long-standing conventional shooting day ...

If you just want to come and shoot trap on a trap day you can do it free three times then you have to buy a club membership.

The $20 per day is mainly for the once a year rife shooter who comes along in August to sight his rifle in at our range but is too cheap to buy a membership. We haven't had many complaints and since we have a "full time range officer/ range manager" no one gets by and shoots for free which was a huge problem for us. We would have a ton of guys that would drop by and shoot, leave a mess wreck/vandelize things and leave. Now the guys who are serious and want to use the range for a day come and have no problem paying. It has worked real well.

Further as a result our membership has never been higher. :)

We charge $5 for non members and $3 for members for trap and skeet.
No fees for any of our outdoor ranges, one guest is allowed

Yearly membership to our club is $200, and you get a $100 rebate if you work a bingo.

Silverdale charges $10.00 for a day pass for trap shooting. The clays are $5.00 a round or a box of 135 clays for $20.00. Also there is a new Pat Trap machine that shoots singles and doubles and the speeds can be changed. If you are using the whole range it is a $20.00 day pass.

Non members have one visit at regular member rates for shotgun shooting which is $3 per round. After that they pay $10 per round or join. Membership fees are $70 annually. We've had some members complain in the past that non members were getting away easy and were not supporting the club as members do. I agree. Our rates include affiliation with NFA and CSSA plus insurance so I think $70 is a deal.:)

I dont think we have a set fee for visitors at the Rockcut rifle range but I'm sure any donation would be taken with glee!. For the trap and skeet field I think it is members $4.00 a round and visitors pay $5.

Really quite reasonable and as we are always looking to attract new members its a good idea.
