Vmax VS Varmageddon how do they compare?

I just picked up a few hundred Varmegeddons for cheaper than I could buy vmax! Definately going to give these a try with the gophers.
I dont have the 7th edition nosler manual yet, so If anyone has load data for the .224 55 grain FB Tipped Varmegeddon using either Varget or CFE223 in the .223 Remington I would much appreciate anything you could send my way!
 
You can e-mail Nosler and they will give you loading data. I got some for their 17 cal just the other day.
Havn't loaded any yet, but looks interesting.

Just heard back from them. This is all I got for a reply for my question about CFE223
"They use the same data as the Ballistic Tips."
 
I haven't loaded any of the Varmegeddon's but I have used the CFE-223 in my 222 Remington quite a bit. I will just pass on to be careful with that powder, it seems to be very temperature sensitive. I found loads with great accuracy and velocities, but in hotter weather the speeds dramatically jumped.
 
I've got some 55gr Varmagedon loaded up with Benchmark. Waiting for a decent day to go to the range. The 53 gr V-max load I have is pretty good, but I want something a little more fragile. The V-max tend to exit coyotes on broadside shots. I hope the Varmagedon are accurate enough that I can try some field tests on the coyotes.

With the 53 grain Vmax I get a small exit every time. Probably just the base of the bullet, judging by the pudding left in the chest cavity there's still some serious fragmentation.

It drops them like a sack of poop! I do believe that it is just the base coming through. I bought the Varmagedon because I believe the base is thinner and hope the bullet will totally grenade. No more exit wounds I hope.
 
Took my first loads of 55 grain Varmageddon and CFE223 to the range today. No wind and around 0 for temperature. First load was 25 grain which shot well and gave me a 3/4 inch group at 100 yards. Second try with an even 26 grains of powder was the winner with the first 3 shots in 1/4 inch and with all 5 was just a hair over 1/2"
Out to 200 my best group was 1 inch
Now I need to find some coyotes!
