The rarest of the Volksturmgewher's is in Canada, but incomplete. The prototype actually exists in a Canadian museum and I am not sure they even know what they have. I know the Pattern Room in the UK was having heart palpitations over it some years ago but to the best of my knowledge it is still sitting in a corner incomplete and neglected and unknown.

I would like to think SSD could do VG5-1s for around the 3000 mark like the Mkb42 and MP44....

The USmade FG 42's are on the US market now and are running at 5K. Production is gearing up and one never knows....they might make it to Canada.

I already asked SMG a few months ago about Canadian sales of their FG42 type II Semi Auto Repro... They have no plans at this time...

One would need to be purchased and imported and then submitted to the RCMP Firearms lab to be tested and ruled on, before any full importation could be done anyway.... Also, there won't be much of a market for another FG 42 Repro at 6000 or 7000 CAD up here methinks..

But, a boy can dream eh!
