I am looking at the Volquartsen .17 HMR Semi Auto.....the search doesn't seem to work for me and I suppose this may be discussed to death already.

Do they have it figured out ? Seems they are the only ones manufacturing a semi auto .17hmr right now.
Do they feed well or any jamming problems ?

Anyone here own one that can enlighten me on the quality and reliability ?

I hate to drop that kind of cash only to find out the gun is finicky or has to be supercleaned every 50 rounds to make it run smooth.

I like the .17HMR round, but may have to go with .22 mag for trouble free operation.

Tell me what ya know.

As far as I can tell there has been a problem with semi-auto .17HMR rifles blowing up/apart.
The 17 HMR is know for it's accuracy. In order to benefit from this I would recommend a good bolt action like a CZ 452 for example. Good luck

That was with Remington, which they recalled.

Since Volquartsen is still selling them, I would assume there are no problems with them. Magazines are kind of expensive, though... (If we're talking about the 25-rd Volquartsen ones, I mean.)

I am interested in the exact same thing and according to the research I have done over on Rimfire Central, Volquartsen is the only one that is still selling a semi auto in .17 HMR and there is not one problem discussed in regards to functioning, feeding and reliability.

I seems VQ got it right the 1st time.

I know I will be getting one.
