I've always loved .22 pistols. The Ruger MK III and IVs have always drawn me in but I've recently laid eyes on a Volquartsen Black Mamba with the 22/44 polymer frame and a beautiful 6 inch upper.

Have any of you had the hands on experience with one? I've heard many great things regarding Volquartsen and have handled a few of their 10/22 derivatives. Is it worth the price tag of $2300 or are you better off with a MK IV LITE?

Thanks!

I own two Ruger mark 111s. One is the slab sided target the other the hunter , both in SS. Both have had modified trigger parts as well as some other upgrades. I have two VQ pistols and now the Rugers are lonely hangers in the safe. You wont regret spending the money. They function flawlessly and the triggers are in a whole other realm. As accurate as my Hammerli or my Walthers and better than my Rugers.View attachment 603573

I know this post has fallen below but the Black Mamba showed up today and it has to be the nicest pistol I've ever owned. The 6 inch model is huge, feels larger than a MK III Hunter I had in a prior life. The fit, finish and balance is near perfect. I thought that may be an issue with the barrel length.

I've never had a trigger pull so crisp and precise.
