Is there no one around in Canada that is a dealer for volquartsen? Seen on their site there is a place called sylvester sporting goods but you look on their site and there is nothing... Brownells has the two I want (remington 597 and 870) but I have never ordered from them before. Anyone have good experiences with them in the past with shipping rates and/or issues with stuff coming across the border. It is less then the $100 amount for their export license that is needed to be made.

I think you need to call Sylvesters, never dealt with them but i've heard good things.

I've ordered from Brownells a few times, i've always ordered on line then called to get a shipping rate. I found that their shipping was fast and reasonable, i always asked for USPS to keep the costs down.

Give Sylvestre a call - they are the Canadian distributor for VQ parts. Easy to deal with, very friendly and fast shipping. They are also a CGN sponsor here - and not all shops put a tonne of money into their websites, you just need to **gasp** call sometimes

The VQ extractors? Have not had any problems with the one in the 870 yet but would rather change it out before I do. Pulled the one in 597 out a week or so ago for cleaning it looked like it has the smallest chip in it so it on its way out.

No sorry not the not a VQ one, the the factory 870 express one. The mim one that is stock. I want to upgrade to a VQ so I don't have to worry later.

Gooood idea. My police 870 has a machined one. I think an extra volquartsen would be nice. Just in case, or for a nice older wing master if I get one

Called them today and ordered up the hammer for a 597 as well. Todd that works there said the 870 extractors from volquartsen should be in at Feb at some point.
