I came for the picture. Sounds like a nice time. I wanna mod out my 10/22 I just have to sell something in the safe first.
 
Ya I just heard that iceman! Lol I had no idea about that actually. This 10/22 has the Smoothest action I've ever toyed with. The stainless steel volquartsen receiver is worth the money yes it's expensive as poop when one can go buy a dlask 7075 alloy receiver for 200-250$ or so. This one is nicer tho looks wise and quality and feel
 
Congrats! The machine work is simply top notch on the VQ receivers. I occasionally run my finger over the side of the picatinny slots just to feel the incredible edge sharpness of the milling. Here's my contribution until you get your photo hosting sorted out...

Yup, Volquartsen receivers are a thing of beauty. Quite a bit nicer than the Dlask in terms of quality.
 
They Sure are a work of art. Anybody who has the coin I can't recommend this bullet proof receiver enough. Amazing machining and my dlask receiver with a Kidd bolt inside is super smooth but this is way beyond that yet. Unreal almost feels like I need to put a much stiffer spring into it just cuz how smooth and frictionless it slides
