Voodu V-22 rimfires

5 shot group at 50yds using SK Match. Lapua CentreX shot just as well.

Pretty happy with mine so far. I had sticker shock for a while until I got it out for a test session, then it kinda went away.

Six 5 round groups shot a couple days ago with sk rifle match. Mine too likes center x and standard plus just fine. These were the first 30 shots after cleaning the barrel and removing the muzzle brake that had been on the rifle since new. The middle group was clean and cold bore. It tightened up for the remaining groups.

Here's the target linked by rlauney.

Are these at 50 yards? A lot of rifles can deliver the one or two wallet groups often seen posted. You have to admire a rifle that takes relatively inexpensive ammo and makes most groups look like gold. I'll bet few other rifles, if any, can do that.

The Voodu's are a fantastic gun I'm just not a fan of the
large magazine or the high bolt throw .
If you are using it as a Remington 700 training
replacement it would be great .
The Bergara B14R has the same foot print .

This was at 50m.

I've run Eley Match, Midas+, Polar Biathlon, Center X, basically all the SK varieties, eley force, cci SV, and even velocitors through the rifle with good results.

Eley Match had the best ES, but the groups were no better than seen here. Pretty sure I'm the weak link here, I don't spend enough time shooting groups to really make the extra money spent on higher grade ammo worthwhile, nor do I care to make the effort. The minimal gains wouldn't be worth the price for the games I play. SK RM, S+, and Cx are all interchangeable without adjusting zero or dope, and are all capable to hit the types of targets I need to out to ~350m.

This photo is just a 6x5 wallet. The worst group here is more of an indicator of average typical groups.

Indeed. To be clear, I didn't mean your target was a "wallet" group as it has six groups on it, enough to give a bit of an idea of how the rifle/ammo is performing. What I was referring to by "wallet group" was a single group that's so nice that someone might be tempted to fold it up and put it in his wallet to show it off when needed. A single group, of course, is as meaningful as guessing one number correctly on a lottery ticket with six of them.

Your observation about the Eley having the lowest ES but not the best results is a useful reminder to shooters that there is more to small groups than ammo with a low ES. As far as the ammo itself is concerned, that's only one part of the equation as there are other ammo-related factors that influence the results down range on the target.

Insite Arms also sell Vudoo actions or complete rifles. Wont go wrong either place. If youd like to try one Longboat I shoot in Stitsville at the Outlaw rimfire shoots. Mine is always there for you to try.

I just came back from there haha first time out in near a year. I was going to shoot with Thomas that runs ORPS but I had to leave early before he arrived. And wind was absolutely over the top rediculous anyways. I had to pack shooting bags around my Lab Radar to keep it from blowing away.

I have been eyeing up Vudoos. Also been looking at the Zermat Bighorn Rim X.

But man for that $ it better shoot really F'ing good lol...

What length barrel do you have? I'm not sure which barrel length to go with. Or why there are even so many options for a 22.

I've seen lots of groups with both guns with SK and Center X etc.

Some are amazing. Others are not good enough for that price point. But that could be the shooter who knows.

But I know what you mean. Definitely at the mercy of the ammo.

Vudoo rifles are essentially deluxe PRS and trainer rigs. They should shoot well, but it unwise to think that they offer the cutting edge of rimfire accuracy. A simple look at their action design (specifically, the ignition) and their choice of barrel explains why. You fight for breadcrumbs as you approach the limit of rimifre accuracy, so these trade-offs aren't massive, but enough that the Vudoo will never be a contender in the benchrest scene. What can a Vudoo do that a customized CZ can't at a fraction of the cost? Accuracy is not what you are paying for with these rifles.
