Vortek kit?

Before passing judgement on the need for a Vortek kit, allow the rifle to get broken in and then make the call. The 350 has a heavy recoil, but it might be smoothened out with a kit.

Vortex sent me a 350 kit as a sample a few years ago the difference was night and day.
No more shaking teeth. It totally smoothed it out and retained the same power level.
You should be very happy with the kit.

The Vortek kit is wonderful in my .22 cal 350 mag. The stock setup was making some crunching sounds when it was cocked and there was a little twang and spring torque when fired. The kit put an end to that stuff. It cocks very smoothly now and the firing cycle is quieter with no aftershocks or anything. It still recoils a bit but that's one of the things that makes shooting a magnum springer fun. The kit is easy to install in the 350 as long as you have a decent compressor. I would not recommend using the lube provided with the Vortek kit though, I took mine apart after about a year and a half and found the lube had turned into a gritty particulate on the spring. I cleaned it off and applied my own lube to it, a mixture of Lucas oil's red and tacky #2 EP bearing grease that I blend with graphite powder. In my opinion, the Vortek kit is definitely worth the money.

And I've witnessed him shoot some impressive groups, as well as punch holes through squirrels out at 50 yards. The 350 is a respectable rifle, and the Vortek spring only makes it better.

Sounds like it's worth doing. I've heard it also helps smoothing out certain areas on the rifle but sounds Greek to me, my experience is with center fires but I grew up with a Slavia in my hands. My 350 should arrive by Friday I'll give it some range time and figure out if I get the tuning kit, would be nice if I could find someone local with tuning experience.

The Vortek kit is $125.00 , that's a little steep.

Taking into account that it's a USA product and our low dollar. Not cheap. But as for reviews on quality and performance, no issues there. I also have one installed in one of my model 34s. Bit the bullet and bought while our dollar was higher, though.

I had one put in a HW80 .22 and it was night and day for smoothness and accuracy....factory's for some stupid reason ship their new guns bone dry and with damaged seals in a lot of cases...one also in my son's RWS 34 .22 although that one was a Maccari tune kit....Harold

I bit the bullet and bought the Vortek kit, I am somewhat mechanical but would like to find some good visual info. to tuning and deburring correctly.
