Vortex 1x8 Strike Eagle

To the OP, does your reticle look anything like this?

I could say the same about you not seeing my post right under his... which is kind of funny :p

So I went to Cabela's this morning to look at the Strike Eagle and as soon as I looked through it I was not happy. It takes a really long time to find the perfect spot for target acquisition. Eye relief was on par with a $100 Simmons scope from 20 years ago. Even after adjusting it best I could it still did not preform well. I didn't find it blurry(not sharp either) but I did notice a lot of rings around the edges of the glass which mostly disappeared as soon as I put my hand over the front of the scope to block out the 100 lights on the ceiling. Turrets sucked, have to take them off to adjust elevation and windage and the brightness did not have the off click in between each brightness level. For $500 I'll pass. I sure hope the 1x8 will be a huge upgrade.

But what do you expect for a $500 scope? With glass, you get what you pay for.
