anyone here try the Vortex Crossfire. i can get it at my local shop for $300 looks but looking for personal experience... magnification is 6x24x50 with a 30mm main tube
I would pass. I have a 3-9 that is good but the first one I got was .010" under an inch. Rings would not hold it on a slug gun. The the piece holding the crosshairs rotated about 15 degrees in the scope. Great warranty but this is the bottom of the bin made in china crap. Save a couple more $$ and get a used bushnell elite or higher level vortex. The crossfire looks and feels solid but I would not trust it

$300 sounds a little steep. I got mine for $230 for the non-illuminated 6-24 version. It tracks perfectly and I have not had any issues with it. I have shot my best .2" groups with this scope.
