any thoughts on this set up on a cantilever, I like the wide field of view, the bdc reticle and the price for fully multi coated optics, its got decent eye relief but not great, I think it would be good on a slug gun for 200 yards and less. Anyone have opinions or similar set up?

I don't have experience with the Diamondback, but Vortex seems to get good press for standing behind their products. However, you mentioned eye relief - I bought a Redfield Revenge 2-7x33 "Accurange" for my combo 12g/222, for its decent eye relief (3.7" to 4.2"), compactness and light weight. I sure like the glass and the reticle - now I just have to figure out the points of impact for slugs AND the 222 rounds at different distances...
