Hey,

I got some money for my birthday, and I've been in the market for a new scope lately, and this seems to be like a good choice. I'm looking at a 2-7x, should be more then enough for what I'm going to be using my 06' for. Anyone have experience with one of these? Thanks,

Cory

I think you will be very happy with the diamondback. I have one on my .270wsm and for the dollar I don't think you could do any better. It's not in the 4200 class, but it's a damn sight better then the 3200 imho, and considering what I paid, I wouldn't even be able to find a used 4200 for that kind of money. Take that and a warranty as good as anyone in the business, and I think you will appreciate it a lot. Best scope out there at that price point, I do believe.

I'm just curious as to what you guys paid for yours? PM if you don't wanna post on here.

I just took delivery today of my Diamondback 3-9x40 with the BDC reticle. $239 + tax.

The only online retailer of Vortex riflescopes in Canada I'm aware of is Grouse River. I bought locally but the price was the same as GR's so have a look through their site to gauge prices in your area.

FWIW, I did my homework beforehand and the Diamondback was on my short list along with the Bushnell 3200 and Nikon Buckmaster. I compared them all in store and they were all decent but a couple of the features of the Vortex swayed me and I don't regret my decision. I'll post a review of it soon along with my new Weatherby Vanguard. This is my first rifle & scope combo and I'm chomping at the bit to hit the range!

Ive got a Vortex Viper 6.5-20x44 on my Tikka Varmint and Im quite pleased with it. Glass is very clear, you get to choose the reticle you want, side focus and the best warranty in the business, regardless of the model you choose.

Cheers!!
