Having owned each of them, the only one that still has a place in the cabinet is the Bushnell 4500.
I wasn't impressed with the Vortex or the Monarch.
The Bushnell elites are great glass for the money.
Tried the Vortex-one strike and you're out. So not an expert on them but never again.
Have had several 3200 and 4200 Elites. All worked flawlessly and had better glass than the price would suggest. Love the Rainguard and new no fault transferable warranty.
Haven't owned a Monarch but wouldn't be afraid to try one based on reviews from people I know that use them.
I love all vortex optics, I haven't used the diamond back yet but have the 4-12 tactical in order. For the price it's great glass and a great warranty even though I've owned over 30 of them and yet to use it.
I bought a vortex diamondback for my 300.... Used it once at the range and sold it. I personally didnt like it whatsoever at any price, i spent an extra $70 and bought a 4.5x14 bushnell legend ultra hd and couldn't be happier.
Bushnell all the way. I have a number of them (model 4200 mostly). Awesome on their own and even more awesome for the money they go for. I was told by a reliable and respected source (who you all know from this site) that the older ones (4200 or B&L) with the front bell adjustable objective have the NF NXS glass in them. Keep an eye on the EE unless you prefer to purchase new.
I have lots of Bushnell and Nikon scopes. Can't go wrong either way. I find the monarch 3 slightly clearer than my 4200. I agree with skipping the vortex junk. I do like the Nikon bdc reticle and the spot on app is very nice to use.
I also have 3 - 4200's ...2- 4500's ...great glass ! Aloso have a couple of 3200's which are still good glass at the price point.
All you have to do is look on any forum F/S or the EE here and you'll see a chitload of vortex scopes for sale...they're all over the place...why ??I think I know the answer already ...lol
