Just wanting to get some opinions on the vortex diamondback or diamondback hp. Considering a 4 x 12 or 4x16 for my 300 wsm. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance for the replies.

Just got the 4-16. Looks good haven't tried it yet. The reticle is quite fine, which is what I was after. Also included the sunshade and cleaning cloth.
Mine is the hp variant it was on sale for $370 with free shipping. But that model is discontinued.
Seems comparable to my older leupold vxii, but I wanted the side focus. They have a good warranty, and if you get one for a good price and don't like it you can likely sell/trade it for something else.
The lens cover that came with it was broken in the box, they are sending a replacement for free. Nice friendly folks to deal with.

I have had a 4-12 Diamondback since they first hit the stores. Have had no issues whatsoever. Vortex has a great warranty so if in the unlikely event you should break it they will send you a new one that you could sell/trade and get something else.

I have the diamond Back hp 4-16 x 42 and it it works very well for the 350 I paid for it. Crosshair is a little thick if your doing target shooting but good for hunting. At full power the glass is fairly good, nice and bright, I find there is quite a bit of mirage on this scope compared to some of my higher end ones, the eye box can be a little tricky. Holds zero on a 30-06 seems to track just find from 100-500 yards and back. Overall if you can get it on sale for the price I paid for it I would buy 2.... Whice I did

There's going to be a 4-12 BDC on me table next weekend in almost new condition.
Like me Leupold's more better.
Eye relief, for one thing.
