Vortex Dimondback

I have used the 8.5X50 quite a bit and I like them. Certainly not as good as my Vortex Viper binos, but the Diamondbacks can be had for about $250 and the Vipers were over $700. They are a nice size, light weight, have an adjustable diopter, and a great warranty. Can't ask for much more!

Crasshman,

Is it the Viper that much better? I just looking at the Cameraland website and they have the Viper for around $340 + shipping.

Thanks Jozsef

The Vipers he is selling at that price are last years discontinued model. And yes the Vipers are worth the extra expense. They are now upgraded to HD glass for 2011, and are about the same price as last year. w:h:

The new Razor HDs are spectacular too, if I could afford them I would have a pair of those around my neck!;)

Although we cannot export any riflescopes to Canada I included what I saw in riflescopes at SHOT as I thoght it is in your best interest to know what is being released and allows you to look locally for it.

We were informed at SHOT that we are not allowed to export any Vortex items into Canada as it violates an agreement between Vortex USA and Vortex Canada. This includes and and all Vortex products.
It is our pleasure to reply to your questions pertaining to Vortex products and to advise you which of their products would best suit your needs, however, you will have to purchase from a Canadian Vortex dealer. We apologize for this, however, it is out of our control.

I don't think that's correct. He can't send Vortex scopes up here, but I think he can still send binos and spotters...

Its just cause they've been ducking around vortex canada, the legit dealer. But you can totally find them at wholesale sports or the calgary archery center still.

A stateside vortex bino would technically have to be warrantied and serviced there, but the canadian ones can be dealt with here in Ontario.

I have the diamondback 8 x 42's. I think they are great glass for the money, well worth it.

That being said a couple hunting buddies have the Furies and they are definitely superior glass to mine. For the extra $80 or $100 for the Furies I would definitely go that route.

I don't have any experience with the Viper binoculars, but I do really like my Viper 3 x 9 40 rifle scope.

Wow, that's unfortunate. More strong arm tactics from US suppliers.
