So, I am the only one looking forward to this scope?
Anyone played with it?
Since there is no way I will spend 4K on the Mark 8 and that I am extremely pleased with my PST 1-4, I hope to see that thing in Canada within 12 months

RAZOR HD GEN II 1-6X24 RIFLESCOPE
**Available Fall 2012**
Every component, feature and performance characteristic of this riflescope is so well thought out and executed, it’s almost scary. Incredibly versatile and perfect for the AR platform, the Vortex Razor HD Gen II 1-6×24 is the ideal optical solution for short to medium-range tactical applications requiring the pinnacle of optical performance.
Optically, the Razor HD Gen II 1-6×24 delivers the highest level of clarity, resolution, color accuracy, light transmission and edge to edge sharpness obtainable. The ultra-forgiving eye box with generous eye relief generates a heads-up display-like sight picture for fast target acquisition and optimal dual-eye visual monitoring of the surrounding environment. Ultra sleek and built like a tank on a 30 mm aircraft-grade aluminum tube, the Razor HD Gen II 1-6×24 features an ultra-low profile, capped windage and elevation turrets for streamlined performance. Zero-resettable turrets offer 50 MOA of adjustment in a single turn—ensuring ample travel.

There's also the Leupold Mark 6. As for Vortex, I have one of the 1st gen Razor HD scopes, and am very happy with it. It's not a true 1x, but still very shootable with both eyes open. I'd love to be able to try out the new Gen II Razor HD some time after it comes out.

It's a scope that was designed for 3 gun competition. I have zero interest in it. As a tactical scope, SFP with a BDC reticle is going backwards. It's like releasing your latest movie on VHS...

I have a Bushnell, 1-6.5. It is FFP and a BDC reticle. At 1 power it goes to a red dot at 3 times and higher you can use the BDC. They also do it in SFP as well, not so user friendly for the BDC but larger red dot at 1 power. They also have completely different reticle which is more like a standard mildot. Also in SFP or FFP. It's worth checking out.

Looks interesting. I am giving some serious thought to picking up the Sightron 1-7 scope to plop on top of my AR.

+1 How intuitive can the reticle be? It will only be useable in 6x, kind of defeats the point, no?

The thing is that more and more shooters are becoming accustomed to FFP because it's taken over in the higher magnification tactical scopes. You get used to using that reticle for measuring misses and used to using it for hold overs (I use mine in SR at the lower magnifications). If reticle sub-tensions are visible, you ARE eventually going to try and use them in that way when it isn't on the right magnification and you're going to get burned. This is even more likely if you're shooting under stress or in a hurry, as you would be in a match or while hunting.

Just want to bring this one back alive, looking at either the Leupy Mk 6 or the Razor HD,
In particular, the Mk 6 3-18
Any reviews?
