You have to "time" the flash hider. It is a trail and error process that involves torqueing and removing peels until the flash hider is in line with the barrel or front sight. Ideally, the flat edges should be on the left and right once it is timed.peel washers, how exactly are they used?

Would someone explain indexing, timing as it pertains to flash hider installation....
If the vents go all the way around , as long as its on tight, does it really matter where the flats end up ?
