Vortex Optics

I own a vortex viper 2-7x32. It outperformed my vx-II and definitely an elite 3200. I think it would be about the same as the 4200's but havent compared those two first hand. I am very happy with my scope, unfortunately I have to sell it as I sold the rifle it was on and now it doesnt have a home and Im a broke student haha.

I own 2 of them an 3-9 x 40 and a 3.5-10 x 50 both diamondbacks. I am super happy with clarity etc. I also own 10 x 50 Vulture binoculars which are really superb.

Where are you fellows buying your scopes from? Any mail order companies carrying them?
Ive got the Vultures in a 12x50 and they are great glass for the price I paid. I did have an eye piece break on me in the field this winter and sent it back. It was fixed promptly and mailed to me at no cost no questions asked. Great waranty!!

Cheers!!

I don't own a Vortex, but am considering purchasing a 1.75-5x32 Diamondback for an older 99 Savage in .250. Google Grouse River Outfitters. It looks like they carry a full line, and I think they're Canadian. Also looks like they're offering free shipping at the moment.

I have the Strike Fire Red dot from Vortex. Great red dot and great warrantee. If you need Vortex and live in the West, PM me and I will send you in the right direction. The guy I dealt with is fantastic!

:)

I found them to be excellent glass. on par with the 3200's at least. cons? HEAVY! way heavier then they should be.

I have a set of 10x50 Vortex binos I am constantly amazed by.

all of thier products are excellent value.

Does anyone know where Vortex are made, sometimes you can tell by where they're made, if they aren't made by some other, more known company.

I think they are made in the Philipines. In Edmonton the only place I know of that has them is Natures Corner Store.

I have found mine to be a good quality scope with very clear optics and very nice adjustments. I'd like it better if the reticle was a little bit thinner. It is a 6.5 to 20 with a 30mm tube and a BDC reticle that works very well. Right now I've got it mounted on a "Flat Top" M-14 but I have not had a chance to get out to the range with that rifle. Prior to the M-14, it was mounted on a .223 Savage heavy barrel and it worked very well for that combination.

I got mine from grouse river in kelowna, and yes they are a canadian company. But Powder keg in kamloops does have vortex as well, mind you there selection is somewhat limited compared to grouse river.

I was just looking at the vortex Diomandback 1.75-5x32 on thr Grouse River website, they look to be good scopes, it even has Fully multi coated lenses, so they say. Is the V-Plex reticle thin? cause it lookes kinda fat on the Vortex site? I was going to get a Bushnell Elite 3200, is this a better choice? how is it in low light? and does it have fast focus?
