Looking at a cheaper Crossfire 8-32x50, are they a good scope for the money? How is the clarity at higher mag? Does it track well? How are they compared with other scopes in that range? I could go a little better and get a viper, but I really wish it was available in a 8-32 as well...

I can't speak for the 8-32 model but I have the 6-25X50MD Crossfire and for the money it's unbeatable. The optics are clear enough to see the 1/2" impact marks from my .223 on a white painted gong at 750yd. I did the tracking torture test that 'mysticplayer' AKA Jerry recomends and it passed with flying colours.
When I upgrade the scope on my .223, this one is going on my hunting rifle because it is sooo much nicer than my 5-15X40 Bushnell3200 Elite.

great scope for the dollars that you pay for it. I don't think you would be dissappointed.

I've got a crossfire 2X20 scout scope mounted forward on my SKS. I've been super impressed with the eye relief on it!
