Sorry, maybe this topic has already been discussed. I was wondering for longer distance shooting I would like a scope that can track reliably and I have seen some youtube videos where it seems the Vortex PST is not reliable. Have people found this or have they been good? or perhaps what would another manufacturer be that would not cost an arm or a leg to get a scope that you can adjust and know that it will be consistent.
Thanks!

My girlfriend shoots with a PST and it has been great for her over the years. But she doesnt get out to often. It might have seen a 100 or 200 firing solutions.

My money would go towards a Sightron SIII. Ive had 4 of them and they have all been great.

I'm contemplating a razor hd2. It's apparently one of the most used scopes on the PRS circuit, but is it the most used because more people buy them, or is it the most used, because vortex sponsors alot of shooters, and gives it to them?

I was looking at the razor, but then they are certainly not cheap, and I was hoping to get one that was less expensive. Thanks for the input on the sightron, I was wondering about them or how they compared and how they were for being repeatable.

Vortex sponsors shooters but not as many as run Razors on the circuit. And honestly... Would the most competitive shooters in the world want to use an inferior scope that hindered their chances of success? I don't think so. The Razor's are used a lot by top shooters because they are a top tier scope.

I tested one of my sightron siii 6-24x50's tracking. I havent done them all because of the effort that goes into the test. I was 1/2moa out at 90moa of travel. I was also out 1/4moa on the horzontal. Meaning the reticle and tracking arnt exactly parallel. With such a small error I would call it perfect because I could easily have errors in my test setup.

I also had that scope hit the hard wood floor when my 110BA fell over. It landed right on the windage turret and ended up bending the post the turret mounts on. But it never moved the zero and still works perfectly.

The glass is also much better then the vortex PST's and burris XTR2.

Thanks for the input so far! I was thinking I was going to have to spend $1500 and up, I am looking at the Raxor HD 5-20 or maybe a sightron now? feel free to chime in!

and not at all because there is a sponsor behind ....
