Vortex prices jumping up

I feel like I am alone in my own league, but I despite Vortex optics.

No you're not. I've owned vortex, tried to love it, and they just don't seem to like my eyes. I have some red dots but for some reason vortex scopes just don't cut it for me.

Never owned a Vortex product. Will probably buy used if I do. The market is flooded with them. No reason to even buy new.
I recently went with a Bushnell Engage that was $125 off at Al Flaherty's.

Thanks for the heads up, $4,799 MAP pricing is still pretty rich when the Razor Gen II 4.5-27x56 is $2,999.

Razor 4.5-27x56 is now around $3500

a dollar doesn't buy much anymore - who can not expect increases over 2021? A lot of the Vortex prices haven't gone up for five years

Yep they sure did, just checked my local retailer and they are $3599 now

People are fooling themselves if they believe other scope manufacturers aren't going to raise their prices soon. Inflation is skyrocketing in North America.

Now they are a complete rip-off.

Thats a crock. Vortex makes low price stuff to high end stuff. Their Razor line on par with a lot of other higher end scopes etc whether you believe it or not. Also their prices have not gone up in a while. Don't think other companies are immune to it either. When I bought my Leupold Mark 4 Spotting scope years ago I paid $1800 for it. I just checked and to buy one in Canada now you are looking around $2750 ish depending on where you buy it.

I'm waiting to see what's happening with Apex Optics out of Calgary AB, they are supposedly working on a hunting LR scope.

A few less greedy little fingers by purchasing direct, or so they claim. :)

Inflation is hitting Apex as well. The longer it takes for them to come out with their hunting scope, the higher the price tag will get. When I pre-ordered their Rival in November the price was $1900 ($200 discount). The pre-order price on their website is now $2100. Will it still be $2100 after the PO? Maybe, maybe not.
It's just a matter of time before comparable Minox and NF scope prices jump as well, if they haven't already. Looks to me that Kahles prices just increased. Inflation is here and its significant.

$2100, so not cheap and nasty. I looked into buying a Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6x24mm and it was over a hundred dollars more than for Primary arms 1-6x24mm SFP with the ACSS reticle, so I went with the Primary arms! Also Leupold just annouced a new Patrol 1-6x scope which is $1500 US, I remember I paid $700 for my Leupold VX-R patrol 1.25-4X a few years ago.

The price increase on vortex was stupid ! Like insultingly stupid. A scope I bought for 1349 in July is now listed MSRP for 2199 on their site. Same scope 6 months later.

Last time I buy a vortex that’s absolute robbery.

It's certainly a risky move. Though admittedly availability is a problem on most of these competitors.

There's also a big difference between MAP (minimum advertised price) and MSRP (manufacturer suggested retail price). I'd assume when you bought your scope in July you paid MAP so comparing it to MSRP on the Vortex website isn't really apples to apples. For comparison's sake, Prophet River lists the new Razor Gen III at $4200 whereas MSRP on the Vortex website is $6000. Prices have gone up sure but not $850 on a sub $2k optic.
