what a #### way to build a ring. The machining makes them unusable on anything but a rail that has a completely flat top.....

Sorry for the #### explanation. Basically the top of the integral rail on my cz falls into this cutout on the vortex pro ring. I literally could have picked any other ring in existence and been fine.

I might have barely beat down syndrome. but I garontee that there's people that have this going on and are unaware... also doesn't speak much to the people calling me dumb that don't even know or comprehend whats wrong here 😅

Im literally sharing a mistake that could happen to anyone when choosing a ring.... sorry if trying to bring awareness is offending vortex g@y boys...

The same way every set of rings for a pic rail are manufactured. Did you think they were going to mount to a round receiver? Maybe read the description of products before buying them in the future. A picatinny rail is not the same as a weaver.

What difference would that make? Rings for a pic rail will still be rings for a pic rail. Doesn’t matter who makes them in this case. The OP bought something with no idea of what he purchased and is pissed because it doesn’t work for his application!

For real. Picatinny is a standard, so that stuff will fit lol.

I've seen modified pic rails that are concave on top (For weight savings, or looks, or whatever), but none have EVER been convex. They're flat, or less. OP did a dumb.
 
So have you tried mounting the rings on your rail? I have those rings, they look like that, and they work fine.
What is the actual issue you notice when installing?
Post pic of your rail to help us understand better
 
Looks like allot of you are having a comprehension issue. Sorry I haven't explained whats going the best, and your not aware of what's happening.

Anything I have from weaver, leuopold, nightforce, cadet, Warren, and ect ect all don't have this issue. For example the vortex 'sporting' rings work on my cz, and here is an example of a rail it will absolutely not work on(10/22)

Sure the rings clamp up, but they will be canted to the fixed side, and not clamped squarely.

Yeah sure I picked the wrong ring... literally had no idea vortex would do something different than apparently every other manufacturer out there 🙄

Im so dumb for believing vortex statement of compatibility for both pic and weaver rails... what a scam company??

those are weaver bases not a full pic rail (think AR top rail).

they are similar but different specs.

You have bumped into the eventual (and obvious) overlap of tolerances and features of pic and weaver. It usually happens very early in the game. They are certainly different. Vortex rings are great; just wrong for your set up.

yes the pro ones appear well made, but sadly they are built differently than every other ring in existance, including their own 'sporting'(china) rings I have from them. apparently, I could have piked any other ring in existance for my cz600... but I picked the vortex model that is not compatible.
