Vortex PST 1-4 mount questions / 3 gun

Hey, anyone have experience with ADM mounts and a vortex viper pst 1-4?

I'm not sure if the 2" or 3 mount would be a better option on my 16" m4v5?

I prefer the 2" offset and the viper pst is an excellent optic for the money.

Have you considered a vortex mount as they are considerably cheaper then the ADM and as I understand ADM makes the mounts for vortex.

I like the look of the vortex QD mount, but it's 249 at SFRC and i saw the recon mount at target for 199 (both 3").

There's a non QD vortex mount that looks good too, but haven't seen that one in person to see if I'd like it!

Sorry didn't know that you wanted QD as a non QD vortex is $108 bucks

I run a Burris PEPR QD mount with my pst.

If you are not set on a certain mount the Burris can be had for $135 bucks in QD. I run the PEPR's on all of my AR's and have not had any issues with any of them. I can send you a pic via e-mail if you would like, pm me if you're interested.

Quick detach is overrated IMO, I have one and never have needed it

I think I'm going to go with a 3" offset whether it be QD or not

3" gives you far more flexibility. You can mount the scope all the way back or much further forward than the 2". Its plenty solid, I've shot my non-QD Vortex mounted scopes at 500 meters for service rifle and have not experienced any change in zero.

Shot this optic a few times now and each and every time i am pleased that I purchased it!

Had no problems hitting steel targets between 50-125m very quickly and repeatedly, groups tight on paper as well!

So far I couldn't be happier, I was even considering the razor 1-6 but am glad I went with the pst 1-4 and the ADM QD recon mount - it's very solid

You should have tried or check the Razor 1-6 with Bobro mount, for 3 gun its the most used Optics in the U.S.right now, big difference compared to the PST and ADM combo.

I have that exact setup for three gun and I like it.
